Savvy shoppers are no longer spending retail prices for General Mills brands. Due to the current promotions and ease of navigation added to the companies main website, consumers can easily view and print coupons online for their favorite products before heading to the grocery stores.
General Mills Website
Log onto the General Mills main website. Click on the coupons tab located under the "Home" header. This page will display all of the coupons and promotions available company wide. Click on each of the websites for additional coupon information and special contests, samples and giveaways. Promotions change every month or two, so check back every couple of weeks for new offers.
Some of the coupons available August 2010 included:
- Save $0.55 off any one box of Cocoa Puffs cereal;
- Save $1.00 on two when you buy two boxes General Mills cereals (selected varieties);
- Save $0.75 when you buy one box MultiGrain Cheerios cereal;
- Save $0.55 when you buy one box Trix cereal; and
- Save $0.75 when you buy Wheaties or Wheaties Fuel cereal.
Betty Crocker Website
The Betty Crocker website requires that consumers enter an email address to print coupons from its website however, the two to three minutes it takes to register is well worth the savings. In August 2010, Betty Crocker offered $24.70 worth of coupons and free samples to those who were registered online.
Some of the coupons that were available included:
- Save $0.75 on two, when you buy two boxes, any flavor, Betty Crocker Supreme Brownie or Dessert Bar Mixes; and
- Save $0.50 on two when you buy both Betty Crocker SuperMoist Cake Mix and Betty Crocker Ready to Spread Frosting.
Pillsbury Website
The Pillsbury website also requires consumers to register by entering an email address and selecting a password. Even if the consumer has already registered at another General Mills website, he must re-register at Pillsbury. In August 2010, the total savings offered for the month was $28.80.
Some of the saving available included:
- Save $0.50 on two when you buy any two Pillsbury Crescent Dinner Rolls;
- Save $0.30 on two when you buy any two any size/variety Refrigerated Pillsbury Grands! Biscuits;
- Save $0.40 on two when you buy two Pillsbury Italian Meal Breads;
- Save $1.00 on two when you buy two packages any variety Pillsbury Refrigerated Cookie Dough; and
- Save $1.00 on two when you buy any two Pillsbury Refrigerated Holiday Cookies.
Just with Betty Crocker and Pillsbury website coupons alone the average consumer can skim a potential $53.50 during the month of August 2010 off the grocery bill.
Eat Better America Website
This General Mills website is dedicated to healthy living and healthy eating. Consumers are again required to register on the Eat Better America website to print coupons. On this website in August 2010 Yoplait, Fiber One and Nature Valley coupons were available.
Some of the savings included:
- Save $0.40 when you buy six any variety Yoplait Yogurt cups (Includes Original, Light, Thick & Creamy or Whips!);
- Save $0.50 when you buy one box Fiber One Chewy Bars; and
- Save $0.50 when you buy one box, any flavor/ variety Nature Valley Granola Thins.
Some Helpful Hints
Check for stores that offer double coupons, where available. Double coupons can add huge savings for the consumer and can even, in some cases, result in free items if the doubled coupon amount extends the retail or sale price. Also, consumer should check the store's policies regarding internet coupons before shopping. Due to the increased risk of coupon fraud, some grocery chains have opted out of accepted online coupons.
